Poems by Malik Corvus Dukat

***

Between dusk and dawn
The sun paused in quiet thought
Clouds blush at its touch

***

Wind roars through the grass
Twisting, writhing, in cold rage
Fading to calm breeze

***

The forest's green call
Echoes in spirit and mind
The peacefulness grows

***

Jagged cliffs resist
White foam tosses itself up
And the sentinals stand

***

The gentle pond drips
Rippling water smooths moist green leaves
Lillies bob gently
Brilliant white flashes to sky
Tiny droplets cling and...fall

***

Drops wet lichened rock
The crow, perched, spreads wide the wings
In silence, ringed in

***

Quiet drops of mind falling through walls of soul
The cathedral of spirit opens to the midnight caller
Echoes of dark push through the curtains of existance
Onto the stage of understanding to speak, to sing, to dream
And in the fountain of knowledge water sparkles, leaping, sprinkling to rest in quiet pools of peace
