About this series: The Mummer's Dance is a weekly column offering observations and advice directed specifically at players in online prose games. It is written by Scott Roberts, Director of Customer Experience and Quality Assurance at Skotos Tech, who has played and staffed on a daily basis on many different online prose games for the last nine years and roleplayed in general for the last eighteen. It provides advice for new players and observations on some of the more prevalent phenomena in the genre for veterans of online prose games.
