Favorite games of all time

I was wondering about peoples favorite games of all time. I love RPG genre those most but there are tons of fun games out there that I would be interested in searching for. Bit of a collector of good games!

Here are some of mine in no particular order.

Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas

Final Fantasy IV, V, VI (my favorite), VII (maybe the best of the genre) and X

Suikoden One and Two

Lunar: Silver Star Complete
Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete

Unchartered Waters, New Horizons

Inindo, Way of the Ninja

Secret of Mana

Crystalis

Chrono Trigger

That's just a few of my old favorites. Not to mention Skyrim too.

Silent Hill 2 might just be my absolute favorite, what with it still fuelling many of my obsessions and irrational fear (during a blackout, I was almost positive Pyramid Head was waiting for me in a darkened hallway). Not exactly healthy, but that game is just that good.

New Vegas and FFVII also rank pretty highly for me, and I tend to love RPGs overall.

Apart from that, I'd like to suggest The Last Express (a phenomenal PC adventure game that didn't do well when it was released, but it's now available for digital download), Mega Man Legends, Bully, Metal Gear Solid 3 (I like the series overall, but 3 is my favorite, which is ironic because I was/am annoyed that Kojima decided to do a prequel after 2), Shadow of the Colossus (which is just beautiful), and Okami (same). All are really good, and will likely eat up days just to play through them.

Oh boy, this is where I show my age...

Atari Era:
Q*Bert -- The first game I remember playing. We had other Atari games, but I can't remember which ones other than this one.

NES Era:
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2 (Yes, I know it's not the REAL Super Mario Bros. 2, shut up!)
Super Mario Bros. 3
Dr. Mario
Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa -- I don't know... We had a cartridge of this at the video club, coming from Hong Kong or something? It was labeled as Mario Baby.
Duck Hunt (THAT F***ING DOG!!!)
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Kid Icarus
Metroid
Bubble Bobble
Contra
Final Fantasy

Mega Man 3
Dragon Warrior
Dragon Warrior II
Dragon Warrior III
Dragon Warrior IV
Tetris
Probably more games I can't currently recall...

SNES Era:
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Mario Paint
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V -- Same deal as Final Fantasy III; I did not play the original on the SNES, but I played the ports, and first played it on an emulator.
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (... Shut up, it's fun if you don't want a long RPG.)
Chrono Trigger
Super Metroid
Secret of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3 -- AKA Secret of Mana 2. WHY HAS THIS GAME NOT BEEN PORTED ON THE GBA OR THE DS?
Lufia & the Fortress of Doom
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
Illusion of Gaia
EarthBound
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat II
Mortal Kombat 3
Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
Street Fighter II
Probably even more games I forgot about.

Game Boy Era:
Tetris (Again)
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Pokémon Red and Blue

Game Boy Color Era:
Pokémon Yellow
Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Oracle of Seasons

Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins
Lunar: Silver Star Story
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider II

GameCube Era: (I never owned a Game Cube, or a Nintendo 64 for that matter. THAT'S RIGHT, I NEVER PLAYED OCCARINA OF TIME! The few games I have played of the GameCube were one of my friends' back in college.)
Tales of Symphonia
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Game Boy Advance Era:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Also the Advance versions of Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI.

Also the DS versions of final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV

Nintendo Wii Era: (Thanks to one of my friend having one and me spending Christmas at her place a few years ago...)

And that's about it since I don't really have money for games lately. And I never had a computer that was good enough for games, other than emulators. >_>

Well gabs listed my #1 game of all time, Earth Bound.

Ummm how bout some arcade games. Gotta love some Galaga and Ms. Pacman (personal favorite) and the invention of the claw machine (I am addicted to these things.)

Atari - nuff said

Nintendo - Gauntlet, Rad Racer, Mike Tyson Punch Out, Mario bros./duck hunt is given

SNES ... aside from earthbound it is just too broad for me to list them all I loved this platform.

Gabs completely missed the N64 era which brought us more wonderful games continuing the mario series and bringing together many characters in Smash Brothers.

I'm not going to the newer systems but how about some favorite PC games like MechWarrior series the starsiege series and tribes. Counter-Strike which I STILL play to this day, command and conquer, blizzard games excluding the WoW crack,

Just for shits and gigglez Rabbit Reader and Falcon 5.0

Well, yeah, as I said, I never owned a N64, so not having played any of its games, it's hard for me to pick favourites on that console.

Same with the Xbox.

Crap I forgot to say Rock Band. I really only say it because I played it on stage with Will Wheaton once.

Hmm, let's see....
Videogames:

Monkey Island 1, 2, 3, and 5... 4 just makes me kind of cry inside. Sam and Max hit the road, Grim Fandango, Gabriel Knight, King's Quest 6, Indiana Jones and the Secret of Atlantis...

Eternal Darkness, Silent Hill 2, Fatal Frame 2, Bioshock, Amnesia,

Skyrim, Mass Effect series,

Final fantasy VI, FFIX, FFXII, Final fantasy tactics, and FFTA

Star Ocean 2

Okami

Board games:

Settlers of Catan ( I maintain that this game will one day ruin all of my friendships with anyone I play it with, but I still like it.)
Gloom
Elixer
Power Grid
Carcassone
Ticket To Ride
Pictionary
Dominion

Tabletop games:

Legend of the 5 Rings (RPG, not cards, screw that noise.)
Pathfinder
Call of Cthulhu (Yes, I like games where you never win and are only staving off death...)
Deadlands
Paranoia

Oh, I also forgot to mention Dragon Age Origins.

I like that people are not just putting up video games like I did.

I also love:

Card Games; Euchre, Poker, Gin, Crazy Eights, Monopoly Deal, and Mille Bourne.

Board Games; Monoploly, Risk, Clue, Connect, Battleship, Apples to Apples and Sorry.

I HATE CHESS!

Oh meryl pathfinder rocks but L5R can't be had without the cards because its a player driven story the keeps evolving with the cards but an excellent rpg.

If we're going tabletops I'm gonna say Warhammer and warhammer 40k mmmmmm Slaanesh
