Bug Fixes

I've created this thread as a (now separate) list for bug fixes, apart from other forms of changes.

Let's start with this:

Fixed an issue with NPC lawkeepers stacking Impersonation warrants to the max. They'll only issue one such warrant.

Carrying bug: Treehouse

Until now, it was possible to circumvent the 2-person-per-room restriction on the treehouse walkways by carrying a third party into the room.

This is no longer recommended.

Note: Carrying has not been modified at all. It is still safe to use for purpose of removing injured or incapacitated characters. Just be careful of where you drop the conscious ones.

@gsp fix

@gsp was previously incapable of targeting skillsets with 0 sp, even if the character had active ranks in them. This has now been fixed. Please @report any other issues.

Crowd sailors no longer get a free pass on the anti-wielding laws.

I also gave their combat AI a quick update at the same time. They should fight properly with their dirks when provoked, once again. They were last updated in 1998, with skills that don't even exist at this point.

Cosmetics

Lawkeepers who don't have scabbards shouldn't be POWER-EMOTING FAKE SCABBARDS anymore. (Dorks.)

The Perry Inn crowd has had its emotes updated very slightly, and Elima's has inherited them as well.

Phoenix Guards should now only attempt to confiscate and arrest for items that are obviously contraband. Generic equipment without an official label or mark of some form won't interest them.

Please @report any exceptions you find to this rule after today.

Note: All retroactive circumstances are to be handled IG.

Thanks to Tiehn, stola recipes should be fixed now with all parts having the same usable materials. @report if this is a fallacy!

It is no longer possible to walk away if your weapon is snared, whether you are the aggressor or the target.

Sailors will ("should") no longer respond to successful pickpocketing moves that are unseen. I'm working on other types of NPCs that have similar issues, including lawkeepers.

This, however, has to pretty much be done one NPC type at a time. Please @report any instances you have of this problem.

- Guards will now properly be displayed as 'guarding' in room descriptions when guarding doors/gates/arches/steps and any other form of portal (previously, any exit that was covered with such an item did not allow for this to be displayed properly, at any location.)
- Added additional description for when the guard is in a bath (guarding such and such 'in water.')

You can once again discreetly show your card hand to others in the room. They also remain protected from 'look at'.

Syntax: show cards to <all|someone>

Lawkeeper NPCs will no longer warrant for thieving moves they can't see performed on others (low rolls and visible moves are still at risk, of course.)

Lawkeeper NPCs do still get special AI in response to detecting thieving against themselves, but it isn't a guarantee now.

They also shouldn't react to thieving commands just for being entered (ie, they won't nail you for 'prepping' the command.)

If you find exceptions to any of these fixes, please @report.

Carnidus Harythaen was tired of repeated embarrassments and has had his arena staff retrained. It is now impossible for characters sentenced to death to walk out of the Colosseum arena floor or medic station. This also applies to dragging/carrying/crawling/etc.

I've punched together (yes, with my fists) a fix that should re-activate the Rock Valley drover if he gets stuck at either destination.

If you find him stuck at either area for more than 15 minutes, try leaving and re-entering the area to snap him out of it. If that fails, notify the staff and we'll feed him to fire lizards alive.

Thanks to Raphael:

- Preferred ammo should work properly with the Rapid Fire attack
- Offer will no longer work when busy
- Marcavia isn't clairvoyant
- Falldown works as intended
- Incapacitated pack animals are safe to attack when the rest of the caravan is gone
- Lawkeepers won't get flack for carrying criminals past NPCs
- 2H Axes Wide Grip will no longer burn fatigue if the prereqs aren't met.
