Luck! can now be used to help free you from quicksand. Use a luck! point and then swim your way to safety if you get snagged by the quicksand.
Please remember that luck! doesn't last forever, so swim away quickly after using it. Luck! points are 125 RPs each. New characters start off with 2. ------ After reading through several reports indicating that players no longer had enough time to kill the shield bees and nest turtles before they could reach into the amphoras I have decided to modify them. The shield bees and nest turtles have been modified lightly and you should now have enough time to collect the tears. |

Holdings
Monthly holdings will now be pro-rated during festival 'months', with the Festival of the Morning counting as half a typical months' holding and all other festivals counting as one-fourth (see ?calendar for festival lengths). This will bring monthly holdings in line with daily, weekly and yearly holdings. All monthly holdings will now be calculated and deposited on the 8th day of every calendar month.

You can now have the "detain" skill, Offensive Guard, removed from your character and a refund issued. The refund will be based on the following following: Full SP will be reimbursed for the first 50 ranks, according to the SP cost of Combat Maneuvers in its current slot on your character. After 50 ranks, SP will be reimbursed at the rate of 1.5x the normal rate, to adjust for some self-training. The refunded SP will be placed in the Combat Maneuvers skillset or your character's first non-CM combat skillset, at your discretion.
Usage: @REFUND DETAIN. No monetary refund will be available. Skill slot swapping will be logged; please do not attempt to swap skill slots in order to game the amount of SP refunded. Only one refund will be allowed per character. Please note that we expect to have the offensive guarding action re-enabled this week, with some structural adjustments that will help balance the skill. The refund will be available indefinitely, with no anticipated shut-off date.

The bug that allowed characters to have a cadae made with a disguised image has been fixed. All cadaes that showed a masked/hooded/faceplated character have been adjusted to show their target's name.

With this morning's restart, the codebase has been updated to remove a source of system instability that has precipitated crashes over the last several months. Six hour backups will continue for the immediate future while we monitor and evaluate the game's stability.
As always, thank you for your continued support while we go through the frustrating process of identifying system-wide problems. Once we are certain that the game has been rendered completely stable, we'll consider how best to send a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the community for sticking with us.

The event scheduler should now be working properly. The weekly event listings will be posted on Mondays at midnight EST. To submit an event of your own making to the event listings, please go to http://www.skotos.net/games/eternal-city/ and then you will see an EVENT button on the right side. Click on it and it will take you to a new page. You can then click on 'Submit my own' link which will then ask you to enter your account information. From there you will be able to decide the time of the event, the name of the event and the description of the event. |

Wolverines and other creatures should now be easier to free yourselves from.
Foxes will now only have one set of lungs whereas they had two sets, making it a total of four lungs. Osecars will no longer 'attept' to rake you with their claws, they will not 'attempt' to do so. Sewer rodents will no longer have arms and hands. Ruggieri will now sell various types of colored frilly hair ribbons. A bug wouldn't allow him to sell them in colors except pink. Fixed the typos in the tailoring shirt recipes. It would say 'tunic' where it should have said 'shirt'. |

The error that prevented lawkeepers from providing a proper report has been fixed. They will now respond properly to the "report" command.

New healer characters will no longer start with the wrong salves and they will now receive the correct ones. They will receive a few additional supplies as well.
