Smarmy was wielding her ballista and didn't have time to switch. Note that there were 4 spawns at the same time. At least 2 were well-trainied, and there was a battlecry for them. Smarmy usually spawns between 12 and 18 uglies per spawn. If we say as low as 10, this was a massive onslaught of between 40 and 72 uglies, most being well-trained. I didn't get a count of them before they slaughtered her. It was one of those "Oh shit... gonna die" scenarios.
