The biggest reason though, in all honesty, is probably lack of funds. most families do not have as much splurge money as they used to, that causes anything that isn't a necessity to be looked at more conservatively.

I actually was classifying elitists as part of the larger retard group.

Also, I don't agree. I believe we lose alot more people to other paying games then to any lack of funds. It's just that when we lose someone because of something like funds, they might feel the need to let people know in the forums. If they left it for another game, it's most likely that they don't care enough about the game to come back to do that. This atleast applies to my closer friends in the games..leaving for games like Lineage, WOW, and others.

All this thread does for me, is to remind me what an idiot someone is,and also how absolutely cruel and cringeworthy it is for one human being to call another RETARD. You know, i realize that it is a common slur, urban slang for stupid, but it always feels like its a bash in the face of some of the most decent people I've ever met in my life.
Yes, I realize that the term retarded has entered the modern lexicon to be an insult for anything "stupid" or "slow", yet, by casually dropping the retard bomb into conversation, or forum posts is demeaning those who are disabled and reinforcing the idea that those with learning disabilties are separate and undesirable, and the people who have them are lesser and should be mocked, or used as a punchline to a joke, or an insult in a forum post.
Using the word retard says far more about the person who uses it, then the object of their ridicule. I'm shocked that skotos allowed this to occur, actually. A game where saying the word, penis, which is a non-graphic, socially acceptable term for a beautiful part of anatomy is enough to get banned for a period of time, but the word "retard" is allowed to exist on the boards for seven years, may be one of its lowest points.

In Pompeii (anywhere else that people know of?), the walls separating the brothel districts were denoted by giant penis sculptures. Lewd and totally awesome.
