online interval timer for skill training
I figured something out tonight (which i hope is game legal... im confident it is) about training your skills...Everyone knows skill training is boring and some times it helps if you can do something else instead of stare at the slowly scrolling black letter on the white screen.
In the navy we used to do interval PT where our guy had a special timer he bought (which after tonight i realized he could have go for free) and itd buzz and wed do the exercise for like 60 seconds and then itd buzz again and wed rest for 30 seconds and itd buzz and wed do 60 seconds etc... Anyway, i sit infront of my computer and work on my warhammer 40k stuff and i realized that sometimes id get caught up working on my stuff so maybe 2 or three minutes go by that i could have been clicking my mouse and making my sp go up...so this is what i did: Google free online interval trainer. I chose the very first one and lucked out. I set it so that the round length is 10 seconds, the rest length is 10 seconds, so it bings at me twice every 20 seconds. Some peoples speed and such will be faster or slower but i feel this is perfect for me. My skill cycles every 4 game seconds (which is actually 7 seconds) and setting the timer to 7 seconds was too fast and too many beeps. Also i set the sound to gong, its the least invasive of the selection. The other options i didnt even look at or attempt to figure out because it works great for me. Just so you know, itll Bing as soon as it starts, after the time goes by that you set for the round time itll bing for the beginning of the rest time. Viola. I sit and carve my miniatures and itll go bing and ill look up click, and look down and continue... Hope you enjoy! |
