A bug allowing locks to be installed in doors that are public property has been fixed. This should not affect places that were set to be permissible under previous changes.

A bug preventing the jump command from working properly has been fixed.

A bug preventing you from matching or otherwise interacting with certain items directly or consistently (usually those that are dirty or bloodied) has been fixed. Relatedly, cleaning of equipment has been tweaked slightly remove dirt slightly more intuitively.

A number of bugs causing certain skills to not function under certain circumstances have been rectified.

A bug causing warrants to occasionally apply twice when passing through the Phoenix checkpoints has been fixed.

An issue causing certain powders (namely ash) and liquids to take up an inordinate amount of volume has been fixed. Additionally, ash will accumulate in one pile rather than into an ever increasing number of piles.

A bug causing the guard command to inappropriately cease when following your target has been fixed. Relatedly, NPC guards have been lobotomized and should no longer spam you by re-guarding you after each step.

Finally, law enforcement characters should now be able to drag their hapless victims through Phoenix Guard checkpoints, but only when identified properly. We will be evaluating expanding this functionality in an ongoing basis.

The change to unarmed attacks that took effect on Friday, which was inadvertently caused by other changes and bugfixes done on that day, has been reversed. Damage from unarmed attacks should be as it was last Thursday and before. We will continue to evaluate issues of balance in the game's combat skills, and will keep our playerbase as informed as possible when deliberate adjustments are made to information that is widely known.

We've adjusted the BUY command so that different items with the same name can be purchased out of order by using a numeric article. For example:

As a follow-up to the previous change, the BID command will now allow you to use a number to match your item.

The STOCK command will now accept a string. STOCK <string> will match all of <string> that is available in a shop's stock. For instance:

The selftrain command will now enter into a selection menu if the action name matches more than one possible skill to be advanced. Hopefully this will cut down on the confusion and accidental self-training of the wrong skill.

Diagnose will now tell healers if a broken bone needs to be set. This was intended from the beginning, but was bugged until now (thanks to Raphael).

The FREE and RELEASE commands have been updated to cover a wider range of grapples and snares.

Using a farming implement (such as a sickle or scythe) will make gathering grass more fruitful for outdoorsmen.

The short stats command (SST?ATS) will now provide information on who you are guarding and who is guarding you.

Null macros with 0 characters of text will no longer be permitted or recognized by the parser due to widespread lag-inducing abuse. Folks, entering thousands of commands per second can be a significant source of lag for the machine. Don't do it.
